Mountain Leader Training England
Northern Mountain Sport are providers of all the MLTE (Mountain Leader Training England) awards: Climbing Wall Award (CWA), Climbing Wall Leader Award (CWLA), Single Pitch Award (SPA), Walking Group Leader Award (WGL) and the Mountain Leader (Summer) Award (ML).
We specialise in offering these courses to organisations such as schools, colleges, universities, Scout, DoE and other youth groups and outdoor centres. We can offer competitive rates for group bookings based upon a daily rate rather than a 'per head' charge. We can visit and deliver a course at your venue or can arrange residential packages to suit your needs.
Alternatively we run 'open' courses available to all.
Excellent course delivered by a top guy. Some very good tips on how to deliver winter skills courses and done in a very flexible manner. My fellow attendees and I were also able to bounce ideas and experiences off of each other. Overall a great 2 days.
I just wanted to get in touch about the workshop that I attended on the 18th & to say how useful I found it. This day looked at working with clients on grade I / II ground and combined great input / coaching from Tim Blakemore with the opportunity to discuss / try out ideas with the other candidates.
As someone who has always been keen to grab opportunities for further training & exchange ideas with other instructors this day definitely worked for me. It was also interesting to have both the winter ML and MIC perspectives represented.
Tim, just to let you know I passed my MIC. Many thanks for your help this winter. All four assessors I had commented on how strong my short roping was!!! Cheers for that - I'm sure many other aspirant MICs would benefit from your workshop.
