MLTA Workshop - Teaching Winter Skills

The Mountain Leader Training Association (MLTA) is part of Mountain Leader Training (MLT) and provides a network for members who hold, or are working towards the MLT National Governing Body Awards. Over 4 days I delivered two workshops based around the title 'Teaching Winter Skills'. The candidates had a wide experience base and included holders of the ML (Winter), those who were heading for assessment and those who just wanted to 'brush up' on their own technical skills. We based the event on the west coast of Scotland (Lochaber) and traveled to Aonach Mor, Glencoe and the Mamores. In typical 'west coast' style we had a whole variety of weather. The event was very successful with all candidates enthused to get out there and 'do it'.
