The last 8 days have been busy, with me guiding on skis in the Oberland and summiting Mt Blanc. Mt Blanc is a worthwhile summit at most times of the year but it's suited to a springtime ski ascent. The Bernese Oberland is synonymous with majestic glaciers and large, remote peaks. Access is either from the Rhone valley (where it will be a day's walk in) or the Jungfraujoch railway. I climbed with Louise, John and Peter for a week's trekking and climbing in this fabulous region.
